Guys, love is cool, but you literally have to crash and burn in an open pit of dark, abysmal misery before you find the right person.

My concentration on The 21st Century Feminist has been put on hiatus, but I still think about it all the time. I can’t work on it right now due to lack of tools, studio, and my desire to work on other projects. But I get new ideas every day. It’s ingrained in the blood that pumps through my heart. Sometimes, I am so overwhelmed with where I should take it: do I keep showing the work I have now? Do I continue the series with different portrait ideas, or do I take one that I’ve done and expand it? Part of me really wants to pick up from the Mr. Romney/Santorum bloody girl piece, because it gets such a response. I’ve had people tell me they’ve never seen anything like it before, I’ve had women tell me that they feel the image, and that more statements it needs to be made. I imagine lots of bloody, happy women. I don’t know. I am thinking a lot.
View Larger Me and my girl! From the Solo’s benefit last night, thank you so much to all who came out, and thank you to OnePicOneFlic for the images!
View Larger I sold this image tonight. I am shocked, but beyond proud. It’s the first image from The 21st Century Feminist that has sold.
